Anthony R. Palestro

Born and raised in Manhattan, NY, and formerly of Bronx, NY, Mr. Palestro has been a resident of Lower Bucks County for the past 14 years.

Anthony worked for Domino Sugar and New York Life Insurance for many years until retiring.

Mr. Palestro was a great musician, who played jazz on the bass. He was a graduate of Hunter College in New York and also Manhattan School of Music.

Beloved husband of 57 1/2 years to Rose Ann (Pace), Mr. Palestro is the loving father of Frank Palestro (Alma) and Ann Marie Soto. He is the devoted grandfather of Anthony Palestro, Philip, Palestro, Stephen Soto, Carissa Palestro, Matthew Soto and Sophia Soto; proud great grandfather of Riley Rose and Lila Patrice; and dear brother of Lena Viola.

Mr. Palestro will also be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, Grace (Grisaffi) and Salvatore Palestro and his brother, Salvatore Palestro.

Family and friends are invited to call from 3 until 9 p.m. on Sunday and 9:15 until 10:15 a.m. on Monday at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. His funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at Queen of the Universe Church. Interment will be private.
