Anthony T. Semeraro

Anthony T. Semeraro passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at the age of 90.Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Tony moved to Fairless Hills in 1953 and has been a long time member of Saint Frances Cabrini Parish.Tony retired in 1986 after 35 years as a Union Leader in the Safety Department at US Steel Fairless Works and was a member of USW Local 4889. Tony was instrumental in implementing OSHA requirements in all work places in the early 1980's. He was mentioned in the book, "The Great American Worker".Tony was an extensive traveler, driving to all of the contiguous states in the USA.He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, Saint Joseph the Worker Council, 4215.Tony is the beloved husband of the late Lilla, grandfather of the late Sean, and great grandfather of the late Jessica.He is survived by his children, Carol Cameron (Gus Schneider) and Michael Semeraro (Heather Rehfuss); and his grandchildren, Amy Ginaldi (Frank), Richard Falkevitz (Jennifer), Jill Lafferty (Barry), Kevin, Nicholas, Jennifer and Michael Semeraro; great grandchildren, Joey, Caroline, Sophia, Corinne, Caelan, Brynn, Lil, Christina, Autumn, Lola, Mila, Leah, Austin, Lincoln Reid; and his brothers, Alfred (Lillian) and Albert (late Anna) Semeraro.Tony will also be sadly missed by his long time, loving and devoted fiancee, Marie Bacchi; several nieces; nephews; and extended family.Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, from 6:00 until 9:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at 9:30 am, at Saint Frances Cabrini Church, 325 S. Oxford Valley Road, Fairless Hills, followed by the Rite of Committal in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem. There will be no calling hours on Wednesday morning.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tony's name may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
