I will never forget Aunt Barb insisting my birthday was July 31st because it was on Grammys official calendar like that.  Despite my Moms constant reminder she delivered me on the 30th, I got a call every year on the 31st.  I will truly miss that call not coming this year.  In our increasingly busy lives it was at least 1x a year we  would catch up.

I will also never forget entering a party and knowing that I had 5-10 mins, tops, to say hi before I was in trouble.

Uncle Gene, Shannon, Gene, Kevin, I know the pain you’re going thru is real.  Take a little comfort in the fact that your wife/mom was loved by so many.  She made such a positive impact on so many of us and she will be truly missed.  We will all live slightly better lives knowing that we will see Aunt Barb, Uncle Pat, Aunt Jackie, Mikey, my Dad, and the rest of our loved ones soon.

Our family is so sorry for your loss and you are in our thoughts and prayers 🙏.  We were so saddened by the news. Barb was an amazing person  who has touched so many lives.  She was always there for everyone and she will truly be missed by many. But especially by Gene and all her family. She loved you all so much and it always showed .  I will really miss our phone calls when we would talk and catch up with each others families. I can't imagine how hard this is to go through.  Just remember to keep all your memories close to your heart ❤️  Heaven has definitely gained an Angel.

Barbara is also survived by her grandchildren, Gabrielle Lukes, Mark Gunkel, Hunter and Aiden Mitchell, Gene V, Angelina, Ethan and Adelynn Pryor; her four great grandchildren; her siblings, Michael Powell (Jackie), Sean Powell (Debbie), Tim Powell (Mary), Chris Powell, Rich Powell (Sheryl) Reenie Moyer (Ted), Terry Powell (Lori) and Kathleen Moyer (Bob); and a "plethora" of nieces and nephews.


She was predeceased by her parents, Maryann (Nuskey) and Joseph Powell; her brothers, Joseph and Patrick Powell; her grandsons, Kevin and Nolan Pryor; and her sister-in-law, Jackie Powell.
