

Carlos was born on November 8th,1951 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he is the son of Antonia and Bernardino Santiago. Carlos was one of eight children and grew up in Philadelphia where he attended Edison High School.
He was a proud marine in the United States Marine Corp and served in Vietnam. After the war, Carlos started working for Septa, and a few years later he landed a position with Conrail where he worked on the railroad as an electrician and mechanic for many years before retiring.
He was a long time resident of Levittown, where he and his wife Sharon raised their four children. Most days you could find him at Bailey's Bar and Grill where he was a permanent fixture. Many knew him as Los, but his boys knew him as Charlie. He was a great dad, son, brother, tio, friend, but most of all the best Pop Pop .
He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonia and Bernardino Santiago, his brother Bernardino Santiago Jr., his sisters Sandra Candelaria and Madeline Santiago, and his beloved wife and friend for over fifty years, Sharon Santiago (nee) Goodz.
He is the beloved father to Sandra Calderbank (David), Lorie Kearns (Vincent), Carla Hart, and Jason Santiago (Andrea); the beloved grandfather to Alexis, Amanda, Corrine, Angela, Alyssa, Joseph, Jayson, Eric, and Nicholas; the beloved great grandfather to Thor; his siblings, Sonia Soler, Laura Santiago, Lourdes Santiago, and Robert Santiago. He will be missed by many, especially his childhood best friends, Luis Morales and Fernando Benitez.
A viewing for Carlos will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19056, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM. He will be laid to rest following services with full military honors at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, Pennsylvania 18940.
