Born in 1935 to Vincenzo and Jennie Lima Valenti, he lived in Bristol Borough until his marriage to his wife, Virginia, where they lived together in Bristol Township. Carmen was best friend to Virginia's first husband, George. He was proud of the time he served in the United States Army in Germany at the very beginning of the Vietnam War. Upon his honorable discharge, he worked at Rohm and Haas until his retirement in 1995. At the age of 20, he joined Bristol's America's Hose, Hook and Ladder No. 2 as a firefighter and was their recording secretary. Because of his valor, he was honored as a lifelong member. He loved to travel, bowl, golf, and ride bikes with George and their group of friends for many years. When married, he and Virginia enjoyed traveling and gardening together. Always proud of his Italian heritage, and a religious man, he attended his beloved St. Ann's Church faithfully until July 2020 when walkers were banned. His devotion never waned, as his nephew administered Holy Communion to him at home.
