Catherine CurryCatherine Curry died peacefully surrounded by her children on Monday, February 29, 2016 at Crozier-Keystone Hospice at Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park, PA. She was 83.Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mrs. Curry was a former longtime resident of Bristol Township, prior to moving to Chadds Ford 6 years ago. She was a former member of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish, Levittown.Until her retirement in 1993, Mrs. Curry was employed as a receiving clerk with Thrift Drugs for several years and was active with the Kids Care Program with the Pennsbury School District for many years.Mrs. Curry was an avid reader and enjoyed playing video games. She also enjoyed many great times camping with her late husband.Beloved wife of 51 years to the late Joseph J., Mrs. Curry is survived by her loving children, Michael J. (Becky Jo) of Greenville, NC, Mary C. Rendulic (Charles) of Lincoln, DE, Christine Curry of Chadds Ford, Patricia Tretter of Trevose, Joseph Curry of Livermore, CA and Mark Curry of Pompano Beach, FL. She was the devoted grandmother of 11 and proud great grandmother of 4 and will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, from 8:00 until 9:15 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, followed by the Rite of Committal in Resurrection Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Curry's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Road, Suite 150, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
