

Born and raised in Duncansville, PA, his early life was lived in Altoona and then became a long-time resident of Fairless Hills, PA.
Charles was predeceased by his eldest son, James Allen Mitchell, Wrightstown, PA as well as his parents, Charles Woodrow Mitchell and Mildred Virginia Mitchell of Duncansville, PA.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of sixty-four years, Shirley Mitchell; his children Nancy L. Gilmore (Michael), Sharon A. Weiss (Richard), David C. Mitchell, Dana S. Prager (Roy), Tracy L. Rusnak (James) and Randy E. Mitchell (Lara); thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Charles spent most of his career at Reedman Motors, Langhorne, PA where he worked for forty-two years and spent twenty years as a school bus driver for Pennsbury School District, Fallsington, PA.
Charles enjoyed mostly spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had a love for antique cars and made them his hobby throughout his retirement years.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA where his funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Wrightstown Friends Meeting Cemetery, Wrightstown, PA.
Charles had a love for animals. Memorial contributions in Charles’s name may be made to the Last Chance Animal Rescue, 9 Beck Road, Quakertown, PA 18951.
