

Cheryl “Cheri” Ann Meade passed away on January 9, 2026, at the age of 68. A longtime resident of Croydon, Pennsylvania, and formerly of Langhorne, Cheri was known for her compassionate heart, honesty, and unwavering devotion to her family and to those she served.
Cheri dedicated more than 20 years of her life to Allies, Inc. in Hamilton, New Jersey, where she served as the program manager for several homes for adults with disabilities. Over those two decades, she gave her heart and soul to the individuals in her care, always ensuring they were treated with dignity, respect, and love—as if they were her own family. Nothing was ever too much for Cheri. Whether caring for individuals who were mildly handicapped or those who were profoundly disabled, she gave her all to providing the very best care possible. In return, her individuals deeply loved and appreciated her. To them, Cheri was not only their caregiver, but also their friend, advocate, and family.
Cheri absolutely loved Christmas and found great joy in decorating her home, filling it with warmth, light, and the spirit of the season. She took pride in making her home a welcoming and loving place for family and friends, especially during the holidays.
Cheri shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, Jim. They were together for 20 years and married for the last six, building a relationship rooted in love, loyalty, and deep companionship. She was a proud and loving mother to her daughter, Candice, and a deeply cherished grandmother to all of her grandchildren, who were the true joy of her life. Cheri was simply the kind of person you always wanted in your corner—a true fighter whose strength, love, and loyalty knew no limits.
She is survived by Her husband Jim Meade; her daughter and son-in-law Candice and Charles Guarino; her grandchildren Aubrey, Gavin, Stella, James, Charles, Lucille, and Bradley; her siblings Loretta Radrick, William Jarzyk Jr., Tommy Jarzyk, Susan Jarzyk, Cathy Stockton, and Brian Jarzyk.
Cheri was now reunited with her beloved parents, William and Loretta Jarzyk, and her pet maltese’s Button and Holly.
She was a loving sister to Family meant everything to Cheri, and she especially treasured spending time talking with her sisters and her brother Tommy, always staying closely connected to those she loved.
Cheri’s legacy is one of compassion, strength, and selfless devotion. She leaves behind a lifetime of love in the hearts of her husband Jim, her daughter Candice, her grandchildren, her siblings, and the many individuals whose lives she touched through her work and her kindness. She will be remembered not only for what she did, but for who she was—a woman who gave endlessly of herself to everyone around her.
A visitation will be held at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., located at 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19056, on January 16, 2026, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. A memorial service will follow at the same location, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
