Born in Philadelphia and raised in Croydon, Christa was a graduate of Nazareth Academy High School.
Christa was a compassionate woman whose love for her friends and family filled her heart. She will be remembered as a bright and caring soul who was kind and selfless to a fault.
Married in December of 2000, she was blessed with her only son in January of 2006. Matthew was born with issues that would challenge many parents but her limitless love and devotion to him prevailed. He has grown into a strong and talented young man who has his mother’s gifts of loyalty, empathy and compassion.
She spent her time working as a paralegal and raising the son she adored. She enjoyed crafts, music and dancing with her friends. Christa also loved decorating and entertaining and enjoyed creating elaborate spreads of munchies and appetizers for her guests. She also worked with the Poquessing Middle School music program while Matthew was a percussionist in their Jazz and Wind Ensembles, Concert Band and Drumline. She had a special love for Longwood Gardens, where she and her family made many fond memories among the trees and poinsettias of their Christmas display and the tulip gardens of the Spring.
In recent years Christa spent her time at home with family and a loveable beast of a dog, her constant companion Cooper, who never left her side.
Although her loss was unexpected and deeply painful she will be remembered with undying love and appreciation. We will never forget her warm smile and her gentle voice. We will celebrate and honor her life by continuing to spread the love and the joy that she felt for others.
Christa is the beloved wife of 22 years to Kirk C. Boorman; loving mother of Matthew Gerald Boorman and cherished daughter of Florence (nee Heath) Mason. She is survived by her brother Gerald Mason; niece Misty Mason; mother-in-law Patricia Gordon; in-laws Delores Bradeis, Bruce Callahan (Laura) Dane Callahan and Scott Chmura.
