Chris Merk, 64, of Pittsburgh and Levittown, PA, passed away on May 14, 2025 at Statesman Nursing home in Levittown. Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Merk, father, Elwood Merk and brother, Kevin Merk.
Chris is survived by his sisters; Pat Merk and Barb and Joe Schmidt. He is the loving uncle of Taunya Ciambotti (Mike Mocarski), Danielle Hsiao (Tom), Kayli Ciambotti (Frankie Grezaffi) and Morgan Castro (Christian) and the best great uncle to Reece, Camryn, Maverick, Waverly, Connor, Dulsen, Logan and Kaia.
A passionate Steelers fan, Chris never missed a game. He loved spending time with his family at the shore and couldn’t wait for the family holidays and get togethers. Chris also loved working out and never missed a day and was serious about his diet.
Chris passed with dignity and never complained about the pain he was in or how his illness took his body from him. He never asked, “why me?” and was all smiles when you saw him. Chris will be missed.
Services and interment will be held privately.
