Daniel C. Delacourt, Jr. Daniel C. Delacourt, Jr. died surrounded by his loving family on Monday, September 1, 2014 at his home. He was 90 years old. Born in Brooklawn, NJ, the son of the late Helen (Bell) and Daniel C. Delcourt, Sr., Mr. Delacourt has been a resident of Lower Makefield for 51 years. He was a member of Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church. He volunteered for many years at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. Mr. Delacourt served his country proudly in the US Army during World War II . He was an avid golfer. He was employed as a sales manager with Avtex Textiles and Barnet Southern Textiles prior to his retirement. Beloved husband of 68 years to Ruth E. (Morris), Mr. Delacourt is the loving father of Daniel C. III (Susan) and Elaine R. Murl. He was the devoted grandfather of Lisa, Michelle, Daniel IV, Cindy and Joseph; proud great grandfather of Jake and brother of Thomas Delacourt (Florence). He will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Delacourt was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Dick Murl. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 7:00 until 9:00 pm and on Friday, from 8:00 until 9:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held on Friday at 9:00 am. Interment will follow funeral service on Friday, in Washington Crossing National Cemetery. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Saint Mary Medical Center Foundation, Langhorne-Newtown Road, Langhorne, PA 19047.
