It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of David H. Cobert, lovingly known as Uncle Dave. He was born on September 27, 1959, and passed away Friday, August 15, 2025 surrounded by family who loved him deeply.
Dave had a lifelong love for cars and racing, spending years working with Mopar drag racing. He never outgrew his passion for horsepower, but his greatest joy was the people in his life. Known for his big laugh, his bigger heart, and his unwavering loyalty, Dave lived life full throttle.
He was a proud great-uncle who rarely missed a game, practice, or milestone for his niece and nephew. Whether on the sidelines of a football field, at the back fence of a baseball diamond, or in the stands at a basketball court, Dave was always there in his “spot”. He especially looked forward to summers at the beach, where he loved taking the kids on rides, soaking in the sunshine, and making memories they’ll carry forever.
Dave loved movie nights, lunch dates, and time spent with family. His loyal dog, Papi, was his constant companion and best buddy.
Though life gave him hardships early on, Dave chose to love harder and deeper. He carried himself like a tough guy but was truly a gentle giant, the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back.
He is survived by family, friends, and all those lucky enough to be part of his inner circle, who will miss him beyond measure. His presence lit up every room, and his absence leaves a space that can never be filled.
Rest peacefully, Uncle Dave, Your laugh, your loyalty, and your love will stay with us forever.
There are no services scheduled for Dave at this time.
