David R. DeZolt

David R. DeZolt of Bristol passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at St. Mary Medical Center. He was 65.Born in New Eagle, PA, David was a long time Lower Bucks County resident.He was a proud U.S. Army veteran serving from 1969 until 1972.David spent his career working with the New Jersey Transit Railroad for over 30 years until retiring.He was an active member of Truth Seekers Tabernacle Church.David was an avid fisherman and hunter.Son of the late John and Mary DeZolt, David is the loving brother of John DeZolt (Joan), William DeZolt (Mindy), Thomas DeZolt (Sue), Timothy DeZolt (Janice), Merry Jo Miller (Andrew) and the late Paul D. DeZolt (the late Katie).He will also be missed by his two daughters, Jennifer Laster (Eric) and Tricia Serembus; two grandchildren, Hailey Serembus and Landon Laster; his long time companion, Harriet Serembus and numerous loving nieces and nephews.Family and friends are invited to call from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Thursday at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Women's Humane Society of Bucks County, 3839 Richlieu Road, PO Box 1470, Bensalem, PA 19020 or Forgotten Cats, Inc., Suite 422, 4023 Kennett Pike, Greenville, DE 19807.
