David C. Owens

David C. Owens David C. Owens died on Friday, December 31, 2010 at Chandler Hall, Newtown, PA. He was 67. Born in Philadelphia, the son of Ethel (Mahalik) and the late Creed B. Owens, he has been a resident of Fairless Hills for over 30 years. Dave was a member of Saint Frances Cabrini Parish, Fairless Hills, where he volunteered his time with the former school and Bingo Program over the years. He enjoyed gardening and especially golfing with his friends at John Byrne Golf Course, as well as Bensalem and Melrose Country Clubs. Husband of 37 years to Geraldine (King), he is the loving father of David, Sarah, Andrew, James (Janice) and Annemarie Hocker (John); the grandfather of 7 and the brother of John and Steven (Carol). He will also be sadly missed by 11 nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, 7:00 until 9:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown.. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, 11:00 am at Saint Frances Cabrini Church in Fairless Hills. There will be no calling hours on Wednesday morning. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested mass cards or memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society-Bux Mont, High Point Professional Building, 700 Horizon Circle, Suite 201, Chalfont, PA 18914.
