

Dennis "Monk" Boyle of Levittown died on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at his home following a courageous battle with ALS. He was 56.Dennis was a life long resident of Bristol Township where he was raised in the Stonybrook section and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1979. He also attended PenncotechHe was employed with HIGHtecHVAC in Southampton for 15 years.Dennis was an avid fisherman and had accomplished a black belt in martial arts. He loved sports and enjoyed playing as well as coaching.Dennis was a man of faith who attended church regularly until his health would no longer allow it. Most important to him was the love of his family and friends.Dennis was the beloved husband of Tracey L. (Frasca) Boyle for 28 years.He was the loving father of Michael (Lauren) and the devoted grandfather of Thomas White.He was the son of Judith Kerr (Charles) and the late Richard Boyle and was the brother of Michael Boyle, Rick Boyle, Lori Anderson (Bryan) and Colleen Boyle.Uncle of the late Lucas Boyle, he is survived by 1 niece, 1 nephew and his grandmother Esther Millar.Dennis's family would like to give special thanks to Penn Medicine, Wissahickon Hospice and the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the ALS Association.Family and friends are invited to call from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, 10 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown. Interment is private. There are no calling hours on Thursday prior to the Mass.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the ALS Association, 321 Norristown Road, Suite 260, Ambler, PA 19002.
