Dennis M. McCarthy

Dennis M. McCarthy Dennis M. "Den" McCarthy, of Philadelphia, died on Friday, January 7, 2011 at Aria Hospital Bucks County. He was 57. Born in Philadelphia, Den was a long time resident of Bensalem before moving to Philadelphia 20 years ago. He was a 1971 graduate of Archbishop Ryan High School. Den was employed with the I.R.S. for over 25 years retiring from the Philadelphia office as a head accountant in 2007. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and especially of the Phillies and Eagles. He enjoyed bowling. Den was the beloved son of Theresa E. (Hartley) McCarthy of Langhorne and the late Charles T. McCarthy. He was the loving brother of Keith and his wife Donna McCarthy of Bensalem, Gail and her husband Ken Kandarczyk of Langhorne, Craig McCarthy of Bensalem and the late Neil, Matthew and Chuck McCarthy. He will be sadly missed by his nieces Christina, Tara, Kaycee, Krista, Kellie, AnnMarie, Samantha, Logan and Erin, his great niece Tommie Lynn and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, January 15th, from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
