Donald W. Barnes Donald W. Barnes died on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at his home in Levittown. He was 82. Born in Frankfurt, NY, Mr. Barnes was a resident of Falls Township since 1953. Until his retirement in 1980, he had been employed with General Motors, Fisher Body Division in Trenton, for 30 years. Mr. Barnes had been a coach with the Levittown American Little League. He also enjoyed bowling and was a member of vaious leagues in the county. Golf was another passion of Mr. Barnes as well as playing his guitar and enjoying country music. Beloved husband of 61 years to Shirley (Rennie), Mr. Barnes was the loving father of William David Barnes, Donna Galenty, Bruce Donald Barnes (Belinda) and the late Barry W. and Glenn A. Barnes. He was the proud grandfather of 7 and great grandfather of 11. He will also be sadly missed by his brother, Thomas Barnes, his sister, Carol Krutz (Ronald) and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his Memorial Service will be held at 8:00 pm. Interment will be held privately.
