

Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Bower has been a long time resident of Lower Bucks County.
She was employed with ETS as a Customer Service Representative for 20 years and was also a realtor for several years. Mrs. Bower was the owner of Lamptopper at Indian Walk, creating handpainted and custom lampshades. As if this wasn't enough for Doris, on and off for over 60 years, she enjoyed giving tours at Styers for the children on their class trips and working for the Styer Orchard few years.
Mrs. Bower was very active in her community. She was the recording secretary with the Langhorne Middletown Fire Company; member of the Middletown Township Historical Society; Middletown Park and Rec. Board; Middletown Grange Fair Member; Bucks County Guild of craftsman; Middletown Township Seniors; Tea Party member; Middletown Township Veterans Memorial Park; Eastern Star and so much more.
She loved going to the former Chez Odette and sing and also going to the former Chi Chi to sing Karaoke.
Beloved wife of John H. Bower (deceased), Doris is the loving mother of Dori Bower; Keith Bower (Diane); Lynne A Herson (Joseph) of Ohio; John H. Bower (Barbara) Eric K. Bower (Sandra) Dawn Schuerman (David) of Montana. devoted grandmother of 14; and proud great grandmother of 20.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 9:00 until 10:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her memorial service will be held at 10:00 am. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers mom wanted to have donations sent to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, under the name of Doris M. Bower.
