Dorothy A Bertles

A long time resident of Perkasie and Levittown, Dottie was a 1960 graduate of Bristol High School.

She was a secretary for Sigma Controls and A&T Chevrolet, both in Perkasie for many years.

Dottie enjoyed cooking, baking, doing crafts, photography and gardening. She found great pleasure making gifts for people she loved. Her smile was contagious and she put everyone else before herself, making her an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Dottie is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Russell Bertles; devoted sons, Mickey Slemmer (Debby) and Bob Slemmer; her only grandchild, Madison Brielle Slemmer, whom she loved dearly; and her sister, Betty Hughes (late Milsom).

She will also be sadly missed by her sister-in-law, Charlotte Willis; brother-in-law, Jerry McLaughlin; and her dear pets, Garth, Tess and Lemony.

Dottie was the loving mother of the late John Slemmer; dear daughter of the late Dorothy (Schreck) and John Willis; sister of the late Wayne Willis, Jimmy Willis, John Willis, Ann McLaughlin, and Billy Willis; and sister-in-law of the late Denise Willis.

A visitation for Dorothy will be held Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19056.
