

Dorothy M. Carr, of Levittown, died on Friday, May 21, 2010 at Lower Bucks Hospital. She was 82. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Mrs. Carr has been a resident of Levittown since 1953. She was employed at Kane's Shop-N-Bag for 29 years. Mrs. Carr was a member of St. Michael the Archangel parish. She enjoyed bingo, bowling, going to the casinos and playing cards with the girls. She was a wonderful mother who lived for her children and loved all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was well taken care of at home by her husband who deserves the most credit for making her comfortable and happy for the last seven years during her illness. She was preceded in death by her son William J. Carr Jr. and her grandson Richard Carr, Jr. Mrs. Carr was the beloved wife of William J. Carr, Sr. for 62 years. She was the loving mother of Dorothy Chamberlain of Fairless Hills, Richard and his wife Catherine Carr of Levittown and George Carr of Bensalem. She was the devoted grandmother of Eric (Catherine) Chamberlain, Craig Chamberlain, Daniel (Maureen) Carr, Nicole (Keith) McCoach, Timothy (Stephanie) Carr, Jacen (fianc Kim) Carr, George, Jr. (Tiffany) Carr and Kristie (Ryan) Leidy and the great grandmother of Megan, Samantha, Joscelyn, Ryan, Keara and Molly. She will also be sadly missed by her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Delores and Joseph Zaccarelli; 1 nephew and 2 nieces. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Church followed by Rite of Committal in Resurrection Cemetery.
