
Edward J. Kasprzyk, Jr. Edward J. Kasprzyk, Jr. died peacefully on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Chandler Hall. He was 62. Born in Johnstown, the son of the late Frances (Chmiel) and Edward J. Kasprzyk, Sr., he had resided in Fairless Hills for 27 years prior to moving to Yardley 9 years ago. Ed was a 1966 graduate of Pennsbury High School and Bucks County Technical School and he graduated from Rider College in 1985 with a Business Degree. He was employed as a System Analyst with Innovative Software Solutions, Inc., Cherry Hill, NJ until he medically retired in 2001. His co-workers have cared and supported him throughout his illness. Ed served in the US Army Security Agency from 1968 until 1972. As information has become declassified, Ed had enjoyed understanding how his work contributed to the security issues of those times. He was a boy scout as a young man and was a former Committee Chair of Saint Frances Cabrini Troop 91. Ed enjoyed music from the 50's and 60's, particularly Doo Wop and obscure hits of the era. He became a huge fan of Crazy Al a Detroit DJ and ultimate friend. Ed loved bragging about his children and granddaughter. Beloved husband of 41 years to Kathleen (Kenneally), Ed was the loving father of Brian E. Kasprzyk of Scottsdale, AZ and Adrianne Kasprzyk Apgar and her husband, Ryan of Bethlehem, PA and the very proud grandfather of Gabrielle Kelly Apgar. He was the brother of Bruce and and his wife, Kathleen, Kasprzyk of Cinnaminson, NJ and Daniel J. and his wife, Jayne, Kasprzyk of Levittown. He will also be sadly missed by his 8 nephews, Bruce (Christina), Stephen, Daniel, David, Blake, Jake, Jeffrey (Karen) and Craig; 1 great nephew, Timmy; his 2 godchildren, Sarah and Andrew and his close friends, John and Kathryn Mordock, Raymond and Anne Marie Rusnak and neighbors from Rose Hollow. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, 7:00 until 9:00 pm and on Friday, 8:15 until 9:15 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, 10:00 am at Saint John the Evangelist Church, Yardley. Rite of Committal will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery. The family would like to express their thanks to the medical and support staff of Saint Mary Medical Center, Langhorne and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Manhattan, Chandler Hall Hospice, Newtown and Saint John the Evangelist Parish, Lower Makefield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to veteran and homeless charities would be appreciated by the family.
