Edward Anthony Lawrence

Edward Anthony Lawrence, known affectionately as Ed, passed away on November 8, 2025, at the age of 64 in Fairless Hills, PA. Ed was a cherished husband, devoted father, and beloved grandfather whose life was marked by deep loyalty, a huge heart, and a commitment to family and fun.

Ed is survived by his loving wife of over four decades, Mary Lawrence (née Smith). Their whirlwind romance whisked Mary from NY to PA and they've been making life fun ever since. He was a proud father to Brett (Nicole), Heather, and Anthony (Jessica). Ed's joy was multiplied as a PaPa to twelve grandchildren: Maddison, Ava, Skylar, Junior, Luca, Charley, Olivia, Lillyana, Quinn, Emerson, Jacob, and Penelope, who were the center of his world. He is also remembered by his siblings, their spouses, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Professionally, Ed dedicated over 40 years to Orion Systems Inc. as an electrical engineer, where his expertise and work ethic were highly valued.

Outside of work, Ed was deeply involved in his community and personal interests. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and an unapologetic Flyers supporter. His passion for Penn State could only be matched by his love for trips to Key West.

His commitment to his family was evident in everything he did, from being a supporter on the sidelines of cheer events, football games, wrestling matches and coaching third base at baseball with his son to beloved hangouts at "Pookie's Pub" with his grandchildren. Ed was previously a board member of the Levittown American Athletic Association and was notably recognized for his contribution to youth sports, especially for coaching Anthony’s baseball team to a Babe Ruth World Series victory!

A celebration of Ed's life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Rd, Levittown, PA. Interment will be private.

Ed's life reminds us all to cherish the moments we have and the people we share them with, he will be profoundly missed.
