

Elaine Mae McAvoyElaine Mae (Ward) Williamson-McAvoy passed away with her loving family by her side on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Aria Health Torresdale Campus in Philadelphia at the age of 87.Born and raised in Philadelphia, and a longtime resident of Villas, NJ, Elaine resided in Fairless Hills for the past 3 years.She was a career waitress for casual and fine dining, and her mantra was "hot stuff, move it or lose it."Elaine enjoyed her Tuesdays at Chandler Hall where she was a champion bowler. She loved jewelry and had a great collection of hats.A member of the Senior Citizens Golden Agers in Wildwood Villas, Elaine enjoyed Bingo, playing cards, especially Pinochle, where she lovingly was nicknamed "Card Nazi", going to the casino, sewing, crocheting afghans, and doing crafts for business and pleasure. She also enjoyed gardening.Elaine became a born again Christian and attended Lighthouse Church in Cape May County and Calvary Full Gospel Church in Fairless Hills.Elaine is survived by her loving children; Alice (Williamson) Guld, Buddy Williamson, Michael Williamson, Andy Williamson, Kathy (McAvoy) Callaghan, Fran McAvoy and Lainey McAvoy.She is the devoted grandmother of 23 grandchildren and great grandmother to many.Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, February 9, 2018, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm. Interment will be held privately.
