Betty was a life long resident of Philadelphia and graduated from St. Hubert's High School in 1962. She worked as a book keeper with the Bakery and Confectionary Union #492 for 40 years until retiring. Betty was an avid sports fan, and was devoted to the Philadelphia Flyers. She was also an excellent bowler, and once bowled a perfect game.
Daughter of the late James J. Jr. and Erma V. Gannon, Betty was the loving sister of Carol Ciarrocchi (Richard) of Philadelphia and Jim Gannon of Atlanta and the devoted aunt of Dawn Trantas (Doug), Daniel Ciarrocchi (Melissa) and Don Dott, Reese Gannon, and Remi Gannon.
Family and friends are invited to call from 12 until 1 p.m. on Friday at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where her memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pennsylvania SPCA, 350 E. Erie Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19134.
