Ethel Brewer

Ethel (Penny) Brewer of Levittown died on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Legacy Gardens in Bristol. She was 89. Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Brewer was a former long time resident of Levittown before moving to Legacy Gardens. She was a member of Langhorne Terrace Baptist Church and was a former member of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Levittown. Penny loved singing and knew all the old tunes by heart, but the times spent with her family were most important to her. Penny was the beloved wife of the late Joseph M. Brewer Sr. and the loving mother of Joseph M. Brewer Jr. (Rosemary) and the late Wendy Brewer Hawk. She was the grandmother of Paul Hawk, Scott Brewer, Suzie Hawk, Renee Kovalik and Nicole Coglianese and is also survived by several great grandhcildren. She will also be missed by her brother Ronald Thomson of Virginia and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend her graveside service on Tuesday, 11 a.m. at Rosedale Memorial Park, 3850 Richlieu Road, Bensalem, PA 19020. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Women's Humane Society of Bucks County, 3839 Richlieu Road, PO Box 1470, Bensalem, PA 19020.
