Floyd S. Bubb

Floyd S. Bubb of Fairless Hills died on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at his home. He was 89.Mr. Bubb was born and raised in Painterville, PA and attended Lewistown High School. He has been a resident of Fairless Hills for the past 65 years where he was an original homeowner.He worked at U.S. Steel's Fairless Works as a steel pourer in the open hearth division for 40 years until retiring in 1991. He attended New Life Christian Church.Mr. Bubb was a skilled wood worker and also enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.Father of the late Colleen Bubb, Floyd is survived by his beloved wife Barbara with whom he would have celebrated 68 years of marriage on November 18th.He was the loving father of Steve Bubb and Pamela Ferry and will be missed by 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.He was the brother of Louise Rusnak, Beverly McWilliams and the late Emma Romig and Mildred Laird and is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.Floyd's family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff of Chandler Hall Hospice for their compassionate care.Family and friends are invited to call from 10 until 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will be private.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
