Frank E. Hay

Frank E. Hay Longtime Levittown Resident Frank E. Hay, age 92, of Middletown Twp., PA, died on Sunday, January 24, 2010, at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. Born in Millnocket, MA, the son of the late Vera Ella (Dunham) and Herbert Frank Hay, Mr. Hay was raised in New Brunswick, Canada, and was an original Levittown homeowner. He was the owner and operator of Hay & Son Car Care Center in Bristol Twp. from 1954 until his retirement in 2003. Mr. Hay was a member of the Middletown Senior Citizens and a member of the Bristol Royal Order of Moose #1169. Beloved husband of 63 years of the late Marie T. (Knowlson) Hay. Loving father of Donald F. Hay and his wife Darlene of Levittown and Joyce M. (Hay) Doran and her husband James, Jr. of Levittown. He will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren: James W. Doran III and his wife, Sherrie; Jennifer Lynn (Hay) Duffield and her husband, Stewart; Jeffrey Michael Hay and his wife, Donna; Jullie Marie Doran; Jamie Matthew Hay and his wife, Jill; Charles Mertz and his wife, Norma Jean; Joseph Mertz and his wife, Angie; and Melissa Mertz; his 15 great grandchildren; his great great grandchild, Jyllian Ella-Marie Lee; his niece, Dianne Perlee (Hallett) Geier and her husband, Charles Jacob; his brother, Eugene Arthur Hay and his wife, Margaret (Giberson); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters. Family and friends may call on Friday, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown, where there will be a Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Rosedale Memorial Park, Bensalem. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions in his name be made to the American Cancer Society, High Point Professional Building, 700 Horizon Circle, Suite 201, Chalfont, PA 18914.
