
Frederick "Fritz" R. Wagner died on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Aria Health-Bucks Campus. He was 86. Fritz was born and raised in Shamokin and was formerly of West Philadelphia. He was a Bristol Township resident for the past 54 years and was a member of Immaculate Conception, BVM Parish, Levittown. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Saint Joseph the Worker Council 4215. Having served during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War, he retired as a Chief Petty Officer after serving in the US Navy for 20 years. Fritz was a former president of Environmental Management Association, Philadelphia. He was also the Assistant Director of House Keeping for Thomas Jefferson University. He will be remembered as a caring and giving man who was always there for everyone in need. Fritz was son of the late Frederick and Catherine (Kelly) Wagner, father of the late Daniel Wagner and grandfather of the late Breanna D. Wagner. Beloved husband of nearly 65 years to Anna J., he was the loving father of Frederick P. (Patty) of Sacramento, CA, Richard T. (Caroline) of Mt. Laurel, NJ and Paul J. (Tammy) of Fairless Hills. He will also be sadly missed by his 5 grandchildren, Alexis, Shannon, Nathan, Brittany, Nicholas, Tyler and Kelsey; his 7 great grandchildren; his brothers, William of Bensalem and Thomas of Shamokin; his sisters, Catherine Haggerty of Salisbury, MD and Genevieve Walters of Milton, PA and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to his memorial mass, Wednesday, 10:30 am at the Immaculate Conception BVM Church, 5201 Emilie Road, Levittown. Interment will be held privately.
