Funmilayo O Akinwande, 55, of Levittown died on Saturday, February 22, 2020. She was born in Sogunle, Lagos, Nigeria. She has been a Lower Bucks County resident since the year 2000. She was educated in the Nigerian School of Nursing Council and later attended the School of Midwifery in Oyo, Nigeria. She went on to receive her Certificate of Nursing and Midwifery and Public Health Nursing from Lagos State Public Health School of Nursing.
She was an extremely religious and prayerful devote Christian and an active member of the Christ Life Church. She was a strong, generous, kind-hearted, independent woman that loved taking care of others.
She leaves behind her son Israel and his wife, a daughter Dorcas, and sons Paul and David. She will also be sadly missed by her five sisters and former husband, Olusegun Akinwande. She was predeceased by her two brothers, mother, and father.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, February 28, 2020, from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery, Newtown.
