AVIS DE DÉCÈS

Gail Moore

24 octobre 1946 – 3 mars 2023
Avis de décès de Gail Moore
AUX SOINS DE

James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc.

Helen Gail Moore (Gail), 76, of Washington's Crossing, PA passed away on March 3rd, 2023.

Gail was born on October 24th, 1946 to Charles Hughes and Helen Warren Hughes in Abington, PA. Gail

grew up in Levittown, PA, graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1964. She went on to

graduate from Mercer Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse and enjoyed a career at Lower

Bucks Hospital as part of the surgical, IV and home health care teams. She went on to be to the Director

of Claims at United Healthcare. After her nursing career, in Alpharetta, GA, Gail opened her own

business providing care for women suffering from cancer.

Gail met the love of her life, Zane Edward Moore, at the age of 17, while still in high school. The two

went on to marry in 1968 while Zane was serving in the US Army. Gail and Zane went on to have two

sons, Zane Edward Moore Jr. and Christopher Stephen Moore.

Gail and Zane could regularly be found at Yardley Country Club golfing with their close group of friends.

They enjoyed traveling with these friends to Hilton Head, SC every spring. Gail served as the President of

the Yardley Women's Golf Association. She is best known for her warm and loving personality. She

would never miss one of her grandkids dance recitals, sporting events, proms or graduations. Without a

doubt, she was always the loudest in the stands. Gail was known to be a great cook, especially famous

for her gumbo and jambalaya, derived from her Louisiana roots. Gail's favorite day of the year was

Thanksgiving Day when all of her family would gather at her home. She made sure the dinner table was

always set three weeks before Thanksgiving Day. Gail always loved hard, showed up classy, and never

went anywhere without a little bit of red lipstick.

Gail was predeceased by her parents and her stepfather, Robert Goeshke. She is survived by her loving

husband of 54 years, Zane, her sons, Zane (wife Amy) and Christopher (wife Theresa), and her five

grandkids (her little kiddies), Hannah, Madeline, Sarah, Christopher, and Zane, her two loving sisters Gloria Hughes (husband Pete) and Donna Pease (husband Art), and her many nieces and nephews.

Services will be private for family only. All friends and family will be invited to a Celebration of Life at a

date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties, THRIVE Cancer Wellness Program.
