Born in Philadelphia, Garney built a life defined by steady devotion, hard work, and a generosity that showed itself in both family and community.
A 1962 graduate of Pennsbury High School, Garney embraced the outdoors and the open road early on, finding joy in hunting, motorcycle riding, and boating—interests that reflected a lasting spirit of adventure and an appreciation for time well spent.

A pillar in the community, Garney worked to promote the electrical industry through his involvement in the Bucks County Technical School. He served on the Bucks County Community College Board of Trustees and as Chair of the Bucks County Workforce Investment Board. He was also actively involved with the Langhorne Mens Club.
Garney loved to golf, fish, and travel. He especially enjoyed visiting his home in Clinton County, PA, UTV riding, and spending time with family and friends—moments that reflected what mattered around him.
