George A. Bernard

Born in Philadelphia, George has been a long time resident of Lower Bucks County.

George was employed with Keebler for many years as a truck driver. He also enjoyed doing side jobs a handyman, painter and wallpaper hanger. George enjoyed enjoyed helping neighbors and friends. He had an incredible work ethic.

He loved fishing and camping and greatly enjoyed going up to Tohickon Family Campground almost every weekend for over 30 years.

George also enjoyed bowling, however, his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandchildren.

Beloved husband of 55 years to Barbara (Hanlon), Mr. Bernard is the loving father of George Bernard (Maureen) and Carolyn Helm (Steve); devoted grandfather of Ryan (Nicole), Lauren, Katie, Amanda, Hannah and Grace; and the proud great grandfather of Juliana.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, from 9:00 until 11:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville.
