

George P. Hurchick George P. Hurchick, of Levittown, died on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Lower Bucks Hospital. He was 63. Born in Scranton, PA, George has been a life long resident of Levittown. He was a 1967 graduate of Pennsbury High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. George received his Masters degree in engineering from NYU and was employed with Amtrak at Penn Station in New York City for 32 years. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel parish. He was a former drag racer and loved to fish and ride his motorcycle. George was the beloved husband of Claire Hurchick for 12 years. He was the loving father of Lena Hurchick, Paula Ostrander and her husband Patrick Delany, Debby Derricks and the late George Charles Hurchick. He was the grandfather of Aidan and Ryan. George was the son of Betty and the late George Hurchick and brother of Bruce Hurchick and Georgeanne Pfeffer. He will also be sadly missed by his mother-in-law Marion Namura, brothers-in-law Mark and Michael Namura, his nephews, Michael and Mark Namura as well as several other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass on Wednesday, 10 a.m., at Saint Joseph the Worker Church, 9172 New Falls Road, Fallsington. Rite of Committal will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
