George was a devoted father, “Cool Pop”, and friend. He is survived by his adoring children Christine Kellam (Gart), Erin (Erik), Jillian (Angad), and Ryan (Lindsay); and his cherished grandchildren Nathan, Lucy, Brielle, Carter, Logan, Mary, Luke, and Bennett. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law Mildred (née Staley) Mullen, his cousin Wayne Pfeifer, and many more cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his siblings: Christian, Clifford “Joe,” and Diane Cooper, as well as Clifford and Gilbert.
George was a proud member of the Teamsters Union (Local 500), where he worked for 20 years loading trucks for Sysco Foods in South Philadelphia. Prior to that, he spent many years with Keebler. A lifelong Phillies fan, George had a profound connection to nature and found joy in his children’s many pets throughout the years.
George’s warmth, humor, and loyalty will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
