

Gil Howard passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, September 28th, 2016 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He was 64. A current resident of Yardley, Gil was a former resident of Levittown and after his father's passing attended Girard College in Philadelphia. He was waiting to have a book published about his memoirs while living and attending Girard. Raised in the Jewish faith, Gil was a very spiritual person. Gil was a member and served on the Board of the Buddhist Sangha of Bucks County. He spent most of his working career as a graphic designer. He was an avid Eagles fan and loved the outdoors such as hiking, biking, taking long walks at Tyler Park and yoga.Gil will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 9 years, Terry (Engelmann); his devoted daughter, Ashley Howard (fiancé, Ramit Singh) and her mother, Eileen Block; and his brother, Gary Kushner (Robin). He will also be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Gerry Holdsworth; his father-in-law, Frank Engelmann and extended family. Gil was predeceased by his parents, Estelle (Davis) and Herman Polsky; his sister, Rosalie Onorato and his brother, Alan Kushner. Family and friends are invited to call on, Wednesday, October 5th at 11:00am at Yardley Friends Meeting House, 65 North Main Street, Yardley, PA 19067, with a luncheon to follow.
