Gloria Gragilla

Gloria (Gribowych) Gragilla, resident of Levittown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. She was 87.Born and raised in Mt. Carmel, PA, she moved to Levittown in 1953 to raise her family.She was a long-time employee of Sears. She started her career as a telephone operator, moved to customer service, and retired from the Auditing Department in Quakerbridge Mall. Gloria's passions included, vacationing at Knoebels Grove and the beach, playing cards, dancing and singing. She was devoted to her family. She was a communicant of St. Michael the Archangel Parish. Gloria sang in the choir for many years. Her family and friends will remember her for her generosity, making holidays special, and her loving nature. Survived by her husband of 68 years, Myron "Bunky"; her children Denise Yun, Marsha Young (William), Robert (Kathy), and Lisa Kralle; sister Kathleen Powis (George); sister-in-law, Nancy Gribowych; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Gloria was preceeded in death by her parents Wasyl and Mary (Wichock) Gribowych; brothers, Michael, Joseph, and John; and sister, Olga.Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, from 8:15 until 9:15 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am at Saint Michael the Archangel, followed by the Rite of Committal at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association, Inc.-Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market St, Suite 102, Phila., PA 19106.
