Grace was born on July 9, 1937 in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, to parents, John William Pacher and Grace Laura Pacher. She graduated from Roxborough High School in 1957. Grace worked in the micro electronics field for many years, then went on to become the bookkeeper for Big Bill II Sportfishing Charters, which was the family business.
One of Grace’s biggest joys was spending time with her two wonderful grandchildren Mason and Mandalyn. Grace loved cats and will also be sadly missed by the family cat Bing.
Grace was preceded in death by her husband Captain William Edward Bate, her father John William Pacher, and her mother Grace Laura Pacher.
Grace is survived by her son William John Bate, and her two grandchildren, William Mason Bate and Mandalyn KathleenGrace Bate.
A viewing is scheduled for Friday, October 13, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19056, followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM, and interment at Rosedale Memorial Park, 3850 Richlieu Road, Bensalem, Pennsylvania 19020.
