

Harriet Loftus Harriet Loftus died on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. She was 80. Born in Carbondale, PA, Mrs. Loftus has been a Levittown resident for over 55 years. Harriet was a 27 year breast cancer survivor. Mrs. Loftus enjoyed listening to country music. She loved Philly sports, especially the Flyers and the Phillies. She also enjoyed going out to eat and to the movies with her best friend, Judy. Most of all, Mrs. Loftus loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be well remembered for her great sense of humor and her love of Tastykakes. Beloved wife of the late John "Cotton" Loftus and sister of the late Amber Jean McMyne, Mrs. Loftus is survived by her beloved sons, John M. (Janet) and Jody W. (Julie) Loftus and her daughter, Kelly A. Angelo (Michael Mellon). She will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Jenna, Kyla and Conor Loftus and Joseph Angelo; her siblings, Sandra McMyne and Terry Shields (Nancy); her sister-in-law, Claire Loftus; and her best friend, Judy Scouten. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, from 7:00 until 9:00 pm and on Friday, from 9:00 until 10:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral service will be held on Friday, at 10:00 am. Interment of ashes will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Loftus' name may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 125 South 9th Street, Suite 202, Philadelphia, PA 19107.
