

Harry N. "Bud" Drake Jr., of Fairless Hills, died on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at his home at the age of 80. Born in Trenton, NJ, Mr. Drake has been a resident of Fairless Hills for over 30 years. He joined the Marines at age 17 and served active duty in the Korean War 1st Marine Division. He then served for many years as a CIA agent. Bud worked as a chemist at Hydrocarbon Research, Inc. in Trenton, NJ and FMC in Princeton, NJ. He will be fondly remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and as a skilled handyman who enjoyed gardening and golf. He also had a love for animals especially horses. Mr. Drake was the loving father of Kathryn A. DiSalvo and her husband Anthony and the grandfather of Daniel A. DiSalvo of Morrisville. He will also be sadly missed by his former wife and friend Marcella A. "Sally" Drake; his sisters, Lila Oaks and her husband Raymond of Berlin, PA, Jane Drake of Fairless Hills and Virginia Dippolito of Fairless Hills, many nieces and nephews and his good friend Said Crusade. He was preceded in death by his parents H. Norman and Eda (Dill) Drake. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass and interment will take place at St. Bonaventure Church and Cemetery in Allegany, NY on Thursday.
