Harry G. Reed

Harry G. Reed Harry G. Reed died on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. He was 85. Born in Erie, and raised in Clearfield County, PA, Mr. Reed moved to Bristol Township where he was an original homeowner for 61 years. Until his retirement in 1993, Mr. Reed was a line operator for General Motors in Trenton for 40 years. He proudly served his country in the US Army and was a World War II and Korean War veteran. Mr. Reed was a member of the John Billington VFW Post #6495, American Legion Post #834, Fallsington where he was a past member of the executive board and the Moose Lodge in Madera, PA. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, and snowmobiling. Mr. Reed is the father of the late Linda Reed. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Ann E.; his son, Harry W. (Eleanor); and his daughters, Cathy Burden (Jim) and June Ball (Eric) all of Levittown. Mr. Reed will also be sadly missed by his 10 grandchildren, Tony, Lisa, Kelly, Michael, Joshua, Amy, Jenny, Alan, Ryan and Daniel; his 2 great granddaughters, Maya and Vivian; his brother, George London (Jean) of New York State; his sisters, Margaret Passmore and Ernestine Poetta of Curwensville, PA; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, from 10 until 11:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Rosedale Memorial Park, Bensalem. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the John Billington Post #6495, 1605 Haines Road, Levittown, PA 19057 or to the American Legion Post #834, 300 Yardley Avenue, Fallsington, PA 19054.
