Helen R. Byers

Born in Renfrew, PA, Mrs. Byers resided in Ellwood City, PA before moving to Fairless Hills in 1955. She worked for the Pennsbury School District for 15 years until her retirement in 1993.

Beloved wife of the late Harold Byers, Mrs. Byers was the loving mother of Dolores Rich (Frank Sherman), Sandra Eckert (Bob), Linda Cavalieri (Don), Donald W. Byers (Denise), Dennis Byers (Joyce), Karen Walsh and the late Dale Byers; grandmother of 13; great grandmother of 17 and great great grandmother of one.

Helen was the sister of John Gilliland, and the late Clarence, Lou, Ethel, Ronald, Bill, Sam, Jim and Margaret and is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call from 10:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30 at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where her funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Interment will follow at Newtown Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, Bucks County S.P.C.A. or to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
