Helen M. Kulish

Born in Carbondale, PA, Helen was an original Levittown home-owner and a founding member of the former St. Joseph the Worker parish.

Helen worked for many years as a Department Manager then a Store Manager at Two Guys in Levittown and Bordentown, NJ. After retiring, she held a part time job at Pathmark in Fairless Hills for several years as well.

Helen will always be remembered as a great cook and an avid gardener. She loved to read, play word games on her computer, and loved to sit on her patio and watch the various wildlife that visited her back yard year-round. Helen loved to follow the career of Smarty Jones, the local equine celebrity that brought joy to so many in the Bucks County area and the state, and never missed an opportunity to see Smarty in person. Because of her husband’s love of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, Helen was a knowledgeable sports fan herself and knew all about the players and their families and was always happy for the city when the teams won. Helen loved having music playing in the house and always encouraged and enjoyed hearing all of her children playing the piano and her son playing his trumpet.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Louis J. Kulish. She is survived by her children Mary Stahlhuth of Gig Harbor, Wa., William Kulish (Chen Wang) of Fairfax, Va., and Karen DiValerio (Don) of Fallbrook, Ca. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Katie Stahlhuth, Anna and Jack DiValerio, several nieces and nephews, and her dear caregiver and friend, Sharon Juliano.

Family and friends are invited to call from 8:30 until 9:30 am, Thursday, May 27, 2021, at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 325 S. Oxford Valley Rd., Fairless Hills, where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am. The Rite of Committal will be held at precisely 11:30 am at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, where she will be interred with Louis.
