In Loving Memory of My Pop Pop From Angela Young

Pop Pop was more than just a grandfather—he was a steady presence of love, joy, and warmth in my life. He had the brightest blue eyes, always sparkling with kindness, and he never failed to greet me with his favorite words: “Hey, beautiful lady.”

Some of my fondest memories are of him sitting in his recliner, watching football. Sundays were always special because they meant breakfast at Pop Pop and Mom Mom’s house, where the smell of food and the sound of laughter filled the air. He had a playful tradition of giving us a squirt of whipped cream straight from the can, making even the simplest moments magical.

Pop Pop also made every Christmas unforgettable. From his decorations to the way “The Little Drummer Boy” and “Rudolph” were always part of the season, he filled our holidays with wonder and joy. He made sure that our hearts felt the true spirit of Christmas, not just once a year but in every little act of love. He truly has taught me the definition of unconditional love. 

Though Pop Pop may no longer be with us, his traditions, his laughter, and his love will live on in our hearts forever. He taught us the beauty of family, the joy of simple moments, and the importance of making each day special.

Rest peacefully, Pop Pop. We will carry your spirit with us always!

To the entire Grauel family,

I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of Mr Grauel aka Big Bud. He was a good man. How many times I had breakfast and or dinner at the house on Heartwood Rd in Highland Park.
Dave and I became friends by meeting at a fishing hole at the creek in Highland Park when we were very young. I spend many nights sleeping over Dave’s house. Mr. Grauel was always very good to me. He basically treated me like any of his other boys in the house. I remember his recliner in the living room when you walked thru the front door. He would always have on a Phillies or Eagles game on the TV on the weekend. He use to yell at Dave and I for playing street hockey on the back patio. We were always bouncing shots off the house. We knew better. Mr. Grauel was like my 2nd Dad growing up. I spent so much time over at the house.
He was a great Father, Husband and all around good guy. Like my brother Joey mentioned , he was an old school Dad. Firm but Fair. They just don’t make men like MrGrauel anymore. It was a privilege and an honor to be able to spend part of my life with him and Dave’s family…!!!! I will always have fond memories of him. 

Rest easy now, you worked hard in life and did an amazing job. Now it’s time that the Lord takes care of you for all the good things you did while on this earth. You will be truly missed. Love ya Mr. Grauel….!!!!!

To the Grauel Family, I only knew MR Bud for a few years but found him to be a strong man that loved his wife, MRS Mary, his family as well as myself. He never complained about anything and was always friendly, respectful and welcoming whenever I saw him. MR Bud will be dearly missed by all those that had the privilege and honor of knowing him.

I rember Buddy loving my almond cake and borsht soup from the deli. I know he looked forward to it when we would visit. Buddy was the Most kind and wonderful man, with the biggest heart. Rest in peace Buddy. We love you. Barb and Richie.

To the Graul Family,

So very sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Graul.  Our family lived in the same "Section" of Highland Park and we were friends with the boys, David and Mike, for many years in Levittown.  Mr. Graul was always cool to us kids but, a no nonsense  kinda dad.  I would say that was the going trait of most all our the dads back in the day.  The Graul family were/are great people and I am very sorry for your loss.
