

James M. Ashcraft, III James M. Ashcraft, III died suddenly at his home on Monday, July 14, 2014. He was 67. Born in Philadelphia, the son of the late Maxine Louise (Kerfoot) and James M. Ashcraft, II, and a 1971 graduate of Drexel University, Mr. Ashcraft was a Yardley resident for the past 15 years. He was an accountant for many years and spent his last 15 years in the field working at Cozen O'Connor Attorneys before his retirement in June of this year. "Bing" was a unique man. He had an eclectic passion for all music, movies and most especially books. He was a brilliant man, who lived a very simple life. Bing was the loving brother of Leslie McCarthy (Bob); William Ashcraft (Lori); Richard Ashcraft; and brother-in-law of Charles Reid. He was the devoted uncle of Judi, Bobby (Lynne), Jim, Dan and Rev. Stephen McCarthy; Christopher (Kristina) and Jon Ashcraft; Rachel Sayers; and Max Ashcraft. He is also survived by his great nieces and nephews, James and Sean McCarthy; Brooke Ashcraft; Tierney and Reese Sayers. Family and friends are invited to call Friday evening, from 6:00 until 9:00 pm at 320 Thornridge Drive, Levittown, PA 19054. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Fallsington Library, 139 Yardley Avenue, Fallsington, PA 19054.
