James J. Hutton

James J. Hutton of Levittown died on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at his home. He was 85. Born and raised in the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia, Mr. Hutton has resided in Falls Township for the past 37 years. He worked for M. Cardone Industries in Northeast Philadelphia for 30 years until retiring in January of 2011. He had previously worked for Piscopo Brothers in Morrisville for many years. Mr. Hutton was a Navy veteran serving as a Gunners Mate on the USS Springfield. He was a member of Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia. He served as an interim Pastor at Calvary Full Gospel Church and also served as a former Pastor at the Christian Church of Tacony and Bensalem Tabernacle. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching the Phillies play and time spent with faithful pet Mitzy. Mr. Hutton was the beloved husband of Joan L. Hutton (Vandegrift) for 65 years. He was the loving father of Patricia Chappell (William) of Levittown, Deborah Seig of Levittown, Jamie Moscufo (Robert) of Newtown, Joan Harrison (Robert) of Lake Ariel, PA, Wendy Michaels (John) of Skillman, NJ and Denise Smith (Shawn) of Levittown. He will also be missed by 17 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; his sister Rita Jones (James) of Barnegat, NJ and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 9:30 - 11 a.m. at Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia, 13500 Philmont Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19116 where his funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Rosedale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of James may be made to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, 480 Norristown Road, Suite 150, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
