James C. McDade

James C. McDade of Levittown died on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Aria Bucks Hospital. He was 53. Born in Bristol, Jim was a long time Bucks County resident. He had a highly successful career at IBM that spanned over 25 years. Jim was an avid Notre Dame fan who also enjoyed music, movies, history and college sports. His greatest enjoyment in life was supporting and watching his sons grow into the men they are becoming. Jim is survived by beloved his sons James and Owen and their mother Jill. He was the loving son of Sarah M. (Holland) and the late James R. McDade and was the brother of Anne McDade, Mary Lutzker and Eileen Loesser and her husband David. He will also be missed by numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call Sunday from 2 until 4 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. Family and friends are also invited to attend his funeral mass on Monday, 10 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 9172 New Falls Rd., Fallsington followed by Rite of Committal at Newtown Cemetery. There will be no calling hours on Monday prior to the mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made the Holy Ghost Prep Athletic Department, 2429 Bristol Pike Bensalem, PA 19020.
