James Randall Pierce Jr. "Jim"

Born on April 19, 1947, in Philadelphia, PA, Jim was the beloved son of the late James Pierce Sr. and Jeanne Pierce. A proud veteran, he served honorably in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Airman First Class (A1C). Following his military service, Jim dedicated many years as an electrician for the Neshaminy School District until his retirement.

A true Philadelphia Eagles fan, Jim was passionate about football and spent his younger years riding motorcycles and enjoying the open road. He had a love for bass fishing and was a longtime member of the Langhorne Rod & Gun Club. Known for his skilled hands and generous spirit, Jim was always ready to lend a hand to friends and neighbors for any repair or project.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Katherine Pierce, and by his children from his first marriage: Jason (Rose) Pierce and Karen Beth (Scott) Pierce. He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Paul Hemingway, Shelby Kadelski, Elora Pierce, Cera Pierce, Brianna Souchuck, Logan Pierce, and Colin Pierce; and great-grandchildren: Andrew Woods, Teagan Woods, and Luxis Woods. Jim is also survived by his siblings Warren (Susan) Pierce and Pamela Betz, along with nieces and a nephew Shawn Betz, Klye Betz, Kelley Koppen and Stacey Betz.

He will be fondly remembered by his stepchildren, Michele (John) Coppens and Scotty (Betsy) Settelen, and their children: Justin Coppens, Dusty Settelen, and Maggie Settelen, as well as great-grandchildren Michael Coppens and Lucas Coppens.

Jim was preceded in death by his children Susan Renee Pierce and James R. Pierce III, and stepson Bobby Settelen.

Jim will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of service, generosity, and strength lives on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A burial with full military honors for James will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940. Please be in line at the main office no later than 12:45 PM
