

James J. Smith, Sr.James J. Smith, Sr. passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol. He was 67.Jim was a lifetime Bristol Township resident and had attended the former Woodrow Wilson High School. He was a truck driver for 30 years for the former Roadway Express, the current Yellow Trucking of Bensalem, until his retirement in 2009 and was a member of Teamsters Local 107 of Philadelphia.Jim was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the US Army. He enjoyed trips to the mountains and casinos and was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. Most important to him was the love of his family, especially his grandchildren.Beloved husband of 45 years to Barbara A. (O'Brien), Jim is the loving father of James J. Jr. (Tammy) of Yardley; Tracy Phillips (Richard) of Lansdale; Brooke Ulinski (Michael) of Levittown; and Julie Granger (Joseph) of Burlington, NJ.He will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Michael, Dylan, Ashlyn, Christian, Avery, Brienna, Reagan, Kennedy and Macie; his brothers and sisters, Joseph (Carole) of Levittown, Lorraine Nepo (Richard) of Bristol, Yvonne Downs (the late John) of Las Vegas, NV, Judy Saba (William) of Bristol and John Smith of Accokeek, Maryland; and many nieces and nephews.Jim was predeceased by his grandson, Connor; his mother, Julia (Liberatore) Smith; and brothers, William and Robert Smith.Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, from 10:00 until 11:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his memorial service will be held at 11:30 am. Interment will be held privately.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Delaware Valley Vietnam Veterans, Inc., 800 Coates Avenue, Bristol, PA 19007.
