James WiserJames Wiser died on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Chandler Hall in Newtown. He was 88.Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Wiser has been a resident of Lower Bucks County since 1950.Jim served his country honorably in the US Navy during World War II. He was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Saint Joseph the Worker Council 4215 for many years.Beloved husband of the late Ethel (Jacobs), he was the loving father of Kathleen Groff, Barbara Gable, Charles (Patricia), James D. (Diana) and John T. (Nancy) Wiser. He was the devoted grandfather of 13, proud great grandfather of 16 and great great grandfather of 2.Mr. Wiser was the brother of Thomas Wiser (Regina) and the late Frederick.The family would like to thank a special granddaughter, Donna Vest, for the love and compassionate care given to him over the past few years.Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, from 9:30 until 10:30 am at Our Lady of Grace Church, 225 S. Bellevue Avenue, Penndel, where his funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30.
