Janice O. Scharneck died on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Saint Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. She was 79. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she has been a lifelong resident of Fairless Hills. Beloved wife of the late Charles W., Mrs. Scharneck is the loving mother of Susan McTamney and Jeffrey Scharneck. She is the devoted grandmother of Sharee Scharneck-Fessey (Brian) and Jolene Scharneck-Peck (Adam); the great grandmother of Owen, Brian, Emily, Caden, Ryan and Tristan and the sister of Ruth Feldman. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, 7:00 until 9:00 pm and on Thursday, 10:00 until 11:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown where her Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the charity of the donor's choice.
